Ride FAQ
How rides work.
How do I get a ride?
Call, text, or leave a message at (573) 691-9997. This number is only used to schedule rides — for anything else, call the church office at (573) 893-2876.
What is the deadline to schedule a ride?
Thursday by 5 PM. That gives our volunteer drivers time to plan rides and routes for Friday night.
How do I make changes or cancel a ride?
If you need to cancel or change your ride, please call by Friday by 2 PM.
What is the 3-strike rule?
The 3-strike rule is for no-shows. If you schedule a ride, don’t cancel before pickup, and don’t show up, that’s a strike. After 3 strikes, you won’t be eligible for a ride for 30 days. It helps us use our drivers well, so rides go to the people who truly need and want one.
Do I need to call every week?
If you’re already in an established ride routine and everyone has agreed to it, you don’t need to call each week. If your plans change, you still need to call to cancel or make changes.
What kind of rides do you provide?
Rides are only for Freeway’s Friday night services. We aren’t currently offering any other rides.
I use a walker or wheelchair. Can you help?
Yes. Just let us know when you schedule your ride so we can provide the right assistance.
Can I be denied a ride?
Our volunteer drivers reserve the right to deny a ride for whatever reason they see fit. If you have a complaint, call (573) 893-2876.
